Like I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been making Be Well By Kelly’s Fab Four smoothies as part of my morning routine. The whole concept is that your smoothie should have protein, fiber, healthy fat, and greens. This combination helps keep your insulin from spiking and you from crashing. And since it’s a low sugar / high protein smoothie, it helps curb sugar cravings throughout the day.
Fab Four is nice because you can do any sort of combination you want, as long as you stick to the guideline. My favorite combination so far has been this blueberry, peanut butter one. I also use a chocolate protein powder in it so it tastes like a chocolate peanut butter cup smoothie. Can’t go wrong with that! Blueberry Peanut Butter Fab Four Smoothie
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/2 – 1 cup almond milk
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 scoop or packet Vital Proteins collagen
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- Combine all ingredients in a blender.
- Blend and enjoy!
