Beauty Heroes June Discovery: Honua Hawaiian Skincare

This month from Beauty Heroes subscribers were treated to 2 beautiful products from Honua Hawaiian Skincare, the Aloha Youth Serum and the ‘Ōlena Beauty Oil. 1st let’s talk about Honua Skincare. In their words “Kapua Browning founded Honua Hawaiian Skincare in 2015 in order to share her love for Hawaiian culture and aesthetics with the world. After noticing sun damage and pigmentation in her early 20’s, she became passionate about studying skin care which led to her career as an esthetician. It was only natural that Kapua found her way back to her roots to blend traditional Hawaiian healing practices and modern technology to formulate a hand-crafted skincare line made with ALOHA.”

Now, let’s talk about these products! The Hero product, Aloha Youth Serum is a unique blend of Hawaiian botanicals designed to hydrate, smooth, brighten, tighten and nourish skin. Leaving you with fresh, luminous, dewy skin. The sidekick, ‘Ōlena Beauty Oil is “an anti-inflammatory powerhouse known to treat skin conditions like sun damage, eczema and acne.” Packed with it’s own unique blend of Hawaiian botanicals it gets to the root of all skin issues leaving you with a healthy glow.

I don’t have much inflammation in my skin but I do have sun damage and these products have been so effective while also be so soothing for my skin. Aloha smells so fresh I really enjoy it in the mornings to help get me going. And ‘Ōlena smells more savory, it almost reminds me a tiny bit of curry but not too much. Together they have made the texture of my skin so smooth, plump and hydrated. I always think Beauty Heroes can’t possibly make me love something else, but they did it again because I am in love with these 2!
