Romantic Date Night Look

Sometimes I get stuck in a makeup rut, wearing the same shades and doing the same style. I try to snap myself out of it by doing something new on a special occasion or a date night. This last date night look I did (with no brushes!) was one of my favorites and very romantic. So I thought I would share with you all, in case you need some inspo. 🙂

In the world of green beauty, it can be hard to find a matte shadow, so sometimes you have to find an alternative source. If you’ve been following, you know I love Rituel de Fille and their forbidden lipsticks are not only great lip colors but they make a great matte shadow too. For this look, I’m using the color Hex, a beautiful cool lilac color. After curling my lashes, I just press the color into my lid with my finger and, with a clean finger, I’ll blend it out. After that, using a back and forth wiggling motion, I put on a few coats of mascara. No eyeliner for this look, I feel like it keeps it more romantic.

Next, I use a clean finger to press in my Vapour Beauty Halo highlighter on my brow bone, cheek bone, and bridge of my nose. Then, again using a clean finger, I press in Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Cream Blush in Desire. It’s a beautiful distinct mauve that leaves a good natural everyday flush. Just keep pressing till it’s blended out.

Lastly, I line my lips from the middle of the lip to the outer edge with Jane Iredale Lip Definer in Nude. And follow that up with Ilia Kokomo, a beautiful sheer muted mauve. Viola, Romantic date night.

  1. Love this! You’re right, it’s so easy to get stuck in a rut! Also think the no brushes is a great idea – I often find I have to get ready for events when I’m out and about and having to carry around brushes can be difficult! 🙂

    1. I have! I’ve tried the Anthelion, which is goldish with a red pigment flip. Which sounds intimidating but it’s actually really pretty. I want to try the other 2. I’m kind of obsessed and bought a bunch of their stuff when I got a bonus at work. I love every single product I’ve tried too!

      1. Oh that sounds so interesting! Have you done a tutorial with it yet? I’d love to see it 😁 Yeah I don’t blame you, I’d probably do the same! Beauty products are of course my favorite thing to splurge on 🙌
