Wellness Challenge: Adding Collagen into My Diet

You may have heard about a newer trend in the beauty and health/ fitness community, adding collagen into your diet. Those of you who haven’t heard about it may be thinking “Whaaaat? Why should I do that?” Well, I’m here to tell you about it!

Collagen peptides give amino acids what they need to build new collagen in the body. Glycine and Proline are two specific amino acids that collagen peptides are high in. They help in protecting the connective tissue for athletes. Peptides are also beneficial in bone metabolism. So, if you have a calcium deficiency, peptides could be a good option. They also help in restoring your skin’s moisture from the inside out and help strengthen hair. It can also help in restoring your gut health.

I’ve been using Vital Proteins Grass Fed Collagen Peptides for a couple of weeks now. You can add it into basically anything liquid, smoothies, soups, coffee, tea, juice, anything! I just add it to my morning smoothie and I’ve already noticed a difference in my gut health and my hair feels stronger too.
