Goal setting for 2017

We all make our New Years resolutions, but how often do we actually see them through? I find that for me, if there’s any hope of seeing them through, I need to write them down. And really, I need to go back and check in on them if I want them to get accomplished. You could also post them on your wall with post-it notes, so they’re right there in front of your face. Then, when you finish one, you can rip that postie off the wall and throw it away. Feels a tad more satisfying being able to physically toss them out. Anyway, here are a few of my goals for the year.

Indulging less – I think this one is always on my list because it’s the one I struggle with the most. I need to be more prepared with healthy food and snacks for when I’m working and short on time. That’s always when I end up failing on making healthy choices.

Be a bad*ss lady boss – Keep up to date with planning and executing job goals. I have a notebook where I like to write down my daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly goals. This way I can go back and reflect on what I have accomplished and also see what can be improved upon.

Try something new monthly (Or revisiting something old that I use to enjoy) – Sometimes I get so caught up with work, I don’t leave much time for the fun stuff. It’s also just good to try new things and broaden your horizons.

Meditate every day – Meditating always makes me feel good, balanced, and calm. Of course, life can get busy and meditation can sometimes get pushed to the back burner. So I need to make sure to cut out just a small sliver of time for that everyday.
