5 Winter Wellness Favs

As the season’s change, your skin, body, and hair change with it. So that means the products I use change a bit too. One of my main concerns year round is hydration. And in winter it’s, of course, an even bigger concern since everything is drier.

Sally B’s Skin Yummies Cuticle bar – This little guy is my holy grail product of this list. It hydrates your cuticles to prevent hangnails and has added herbs to strengthen your nails. I try to use it nightly to keep my nails in good health, but I’m human so of course there are times I forget. Sometimes I’ll forget for so many days my cuticles will dry out and crack, even bleed occasionally. When that does happen I just use this right away and overnight it’s like they’re completely healed and hydrated again!

Metolius Dream tea – Metolius is my favorite tea, and this dream tea is like a hug in a mug. It has lavender, chamomile, scullcap, valerian, and mugwort, all organic. This tea helps me get nice and relaxed before bed. And in winter it’s so nice to cozy up with a good cup of tea, a nice blanket, and a good book.

NOW Foods Apricot oil – I know people think of hair oil for more of a summer time thing, but your hair needs moisture in the winter too.  This Apricot oil has excellent restorative properties that promote soft, radiant hair. Weekly I like to put some on the ends of my hair before bed. It’s a little too heavy for my hair to use it throughout the day. After washing it out the next morning my hair feels silkier and stronger. And since my hair is naturally curly, I need all the moisture I can get!

Desert Essence Perfect Pistachio Foot Repair Cream– A little obsessed with hydration and moisturizing? Maybe, but this foot cream is so nourishing! In winter we don’t always think of our feet since they’re usually hidden in boots. This cream has organic shea butter to deeply hydrate and organic macadamia seed oil to help regeneration. I like to use it most when I get out of a bath or shower so that it really soaks in.

Maggie’s Organics Cotton Socks – In the winter I’m usually always wearing socks because my feet are always cold. These socks from Maggie’s Organics are cute and comfy! They also make a perfect pair with the pistachio foot cream, helping lock in all the moisture.  And, they’re fair trade and sustainably made.
